Senra Systems is a manufacturing startup led by former Space-X employees that produces wire-harnesses for aerospace and defense through robotic assembly and provides user-friendly design tools and consultation. Senra needed a landing page and user interface that could encourage investments and hiring in their early stages.
Since the implementation of our designs, Senra Systems has begun working with companies including Boeing and have raised over $2.5 million and made a name for themselves in the industry.
Developing a brand identity
In developing Senra’s brand identity, I aimed to design a commercial landing page that mirrored the simplicity and straightforwardness of Senra’s harness construction process. The webpage begins with a looping clip of the very machines used in the assembly process in the background of the frame.
I also introduced a subtle grid pattern into the background along with a parallax scrolling effect to ground the modern and clean look of the site in tradition and evoke the classic wire-harness design grid.
Across the site I created custom illustrations and icons that incorporate a wire motif. I took inspiration from 3-phase wire colors and used these across the site as vibrant accents that contrast with the clean dark-mode that the client desired.
Additionally, I created stylized and animated mockups of the upcoming design tool (see below).

Logo exploration
With respect to logos, Senra was open to everything from pictorial mark logos to wordmarks and more abstract directions. I created an array of options for Senra (see below), most of which include some visual reference to wiring and grids. Ultimately, the client decided to go with an abstracted “S” where the negative space resembles cables.
